Methodology: how p2preal prices are made
The same rules run inside the collector. This page is the public copy of them.
What we collect
Public USDT ads on the Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and HTX P2P markets, both buy and sell sides, for 38 currencies. Tier-1 currencies every 90 seconds, others every 5 or 15 minutes. Every snapshot is stored.
Checks on every ad
- Bait: price more than 3% better than the median of the top 20 prices on that side.
- Low orders: fewer than 50 recent orders, when the platform reports it.
- Low completion: completion rate below 90%, when reported.
- Offline: the platform marks the merchant offline.
Flagged ads are shown greyed out for transparency and excluded from every average.
Prices
- Average for an order size: we fill the amount by walking the eligible book from the best price; each ad contributes up to min(available USDT, max limit ÷ price); ads whose minimum exceeds the remaining amount are skipped. If the book cannot fill the amount the value is left empty.
- One-order price: the best ad whose limits and stock allow the whole amount in a single order.
- Best price: the one-order price for 100 USDT.
- Raw first price: the first unflagged price regardless of limits, shown only for comparison.
Combining platforms
The currency-level number merges the newest snapshot of every platform. A platform snapshot older than 10 minutes is left out. The cheapest platform is the one whose best one-order price for 100 USDT is lowest.
Reference rates
Official mid rate: open.er-api.com, once per day. Parallel market: Argentina from dolarapi.com (dólar blue). Other parallel references are added only when a stable public source exists.
Staleness and anomalies
If a currency has not refreshed for 15 minutes its page shows a red banner with the time of the last observation. A sell price above the buy price by more than 1% is recorded as an incident and shown per platform, never as an arbitrage.
What this site does not do
It does not execute trades, hold funds, or rate merchants beyond the public numbers above. Referral codes are disclosed wherever they appear.
