Paying with IMPS on Binance, Bybit and OKX P2P

NPCI describes two ways to send IMPS: to the payee's account number and IFSC, called P2A, or to their mobile number plus the seven-digit MMID their bank issues, called P2P. Bybit's P2P terms make the buyer responsible for checking that the seller's bank account name is identical to the name verified on Bybit, and Bybit accepts no liability for losses from a failure to check. Binance's policy adds that the method used in an order must match the one set in the ad, and that where a seller prefers an instant or quick payment, no other method may be used without the seller's prior consent.

Bybit has a set procedure for third-party payments. The seller may return the money to the original payer within 48 hours and keep the crypto; if that refund fails, the buyer carries the loss. A seller who releases against a third-party payment, or does not refund it within 48 hours, carries the loss instead. On timing, Binance and OKX both separate real-time payments from slower ones: if the seller is still holding the crypto 15 minutes after a real-time payment, support steps in and can release it by hand, while for non-instant methods Binance allows two working days and OKX two to five depending on region.

Settlement time and limits

The per-transaction ceiling and the 24×7 service are on the INR page. NPCI's IMPS FAQ fills in the rest: transfers run on holidays too, sender and receiver each get an SMS confirmation, the service includes a beneficiary account check, and there is no stop payment, so a request cannot be cancelled once it has been initiated. Complaints are logged with your own bank. Each member bank or PPI sets its own IMPS charges. Binance's policy says the amount sent should be inclusive of the payment provider's fees unless one side explicitly agreed beforehand to pay them, and Bybit's terms bar sellers from charging buyers anything beyond the payment provider's fees.

When the debit goes through but the seller's bank never credits it, the RBI's 2019 framework obliges the beneficiary bank to auto-reverse an IMPS transfer no later than T+1, where T is the calendar date of the transaction. Each further day of delay earns ₹100, which banks must credit without waiting for a complaint, and unresolved cases can go to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021.

Questions people ask

How much is USDT right now when paying with IMPS?

Counting only ads that accept IMPS, a 1,000 USDT order averaged 103.44 INR (about 103,440 INR) in the latest observation, across 17 ads. The cards above refresh every 90 seconds.

Which platform has the most sellers accepting IMPS?

In the latest observation Binance P2P had the most checked IMPS ads (14). Counts move all day; the sellers table above is sorted by price and names the platform.

How is the price on this page calculated?

We take the public P2P ads of Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and HTX, keep the ones that can fill the order size, walk them from the best price and average what the order would cost. Bait prices more than 3% better than the median of the top 20, and merchants under 50 orders or below 90% completion, are excluded. Numbers are recomputed every 90 seconds; the methodology page has the full rules.

What does IMPS P2A mean?

P2A stands for person to account: the sender pays using the beneficiary's account number and IFSC. NPCI added it next to the original P2P mode, which needs the beneficiary's mobile number and a seven-digit MMID, because a payee whose mobile number is not registered with any bank account cannot be reached through MMID. A payee who receives through account number and IFSC does not have to register for IMPS. For a P2P crypto order, the receiving account still has to be in the seller's verified name on Binance or Bybit.

How long does an IMPS failed transaction refund take?

The RBI's turnaround-time circular of September 2019 sets the outer limit. If an IMPS debit does not reach the beneficiary account, the beneficiary bank has to send it back automatically by T+1, T being the day of the transaction, and owes ₹100 for each day beyond that, credited without a claim. NPCI says IMPS complaints go to your own bank; customers left without redress within the timeline can turn to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman Scheme. Once initiated, an IMPS payment cannot be stopped.

What are IMPS charges?

NPCI leaves IMPS charges to each member bank and PPI, so the fee depends on the bank you send from and NPCI tells customers to check with it. On P2P platforms the fee also shapes the order: Binance's transaction policy says the sent amount should include payment-provider fees unless one party agreed in advance to cover them, and Bybit does not allow a seller to collect fees beyond what the payment provider charges, whether the order completes or is cancelled.
