Other payment methods
Paying by bank transfer on OKX, Bybit and Bitget P2P
Binance stopped quoting naira in 2024 (see the NGN page), so the bank-transfer ads above are on OKX, Bybit and Bitget, each with its own label: "bank" on OKX, "Bank transfer" on Bitget, and on Bybit "Bank Transfer (Africa)" plus single banks such as Kuda Bank. That matters when you sell to a Bybit advertiser: the method you add must be the exact one the ad lists, and Bybit copies the name on it from your identity verification, with no manual edits.
OKX's dispute rules leave the name check to the seller: OKX does not compare names, and the seller confirms the sender matches the verified account before releasing. A buyer paying from an account in another name loses P2P access for 15 days and gets a refund instead of the coins, with the refund fees on the buyer. If a real-time payment is not released within 15 minutes, OKX support chases the seller and can release the USDT by hand; non-instant methods get 2 to 5 working days, by region. Bitget lets a seller facing a mismatched name ask for a video KYC call with an ID card or passport, and either side can appeal 10 minutes after "Paid" if the money or coins have not arrived.
Settlement time and limits
How NIP and Name Enquiry work is on the currency page. NIBSS's own FAQ adds that the beneficiary is credited in real time while banks settle later (deferred net settlement, currently in 12 sessions), that a Transaction Status Query lets the sending bank check a transfer it sent earlier, and that each institution's maximum per transaction is held on the platform under CBN rules.
A CBN circular of 26 May 2022 has banks accept an indemnity from individuals for "Highly Secured Online Funds Transfer" above ₦1 million, up to a ceiling of ₦25 million, with multi-factor authentication on such transfers. The CBN's instant-payment circular of 12 March 2026, in force from 1 July 2026, keeps that ₦25 million ceiling but lets you raise or lower your own limit inside it after multi-factor authentication and the bank's due diligence. It also lets you switch online instant transfers off for any period, and makes banks monitor inflows as well as outflows for fraud.
What goes wrong
- Words in the narration. OKX treats mentions of the trade type (P2P), the exchange (OKX) or a coin such as BTC in the payment remark as sensitive; Bitget's list includes USDT, BTC, Bitget and cryptocurrency, and the seller may reject and refund; Bybit warns that a reference like "BTC/USDT purchase" can make the transfer fail.
- Someone else's money. Bitget allows the seller to turn down a payment from a non-real-name or third-party account. If a user accepts such a payment and the counterparty's payment account is then frozen, Bitget investigates the source of the funds and may freeze that user's account directly.
- The wrong account. OKX takes no responsibility for money sent to any account other than the one on the order and promises no refund; repeat cases can cost 30 days of trading.
- Restricted accounts. Under the CBN circular of 1 December 2023, banks and wallet operators open individual accounts by pulling the name, date of birth and other details electronically from the BVN or NIN record, and funded Tier-1 accounts without either number were put on "Post No Debit or Credit" from 1 March 2024, with no further transactions permitted.

Questions people ask
How much is USDT right now when paying with Bank transfer?
Counting only ads that accept Bank transfer, a 1,000 USDT order averaged 1,379 NGN (about 1,379,394 NGN) in the latest observation, across 74 ads. The cards above refresh every 90 seconds.
Which platform has the most sellers accepting Bank transfer?
In the latest observation OKX P2P had the most checked Bank transfer ads (30). Counts move all day; the sellers table above is sorted by price and names the platform.
How is the price on this page calculated?
We take the public P2P ads of Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and HTX, keep the ones that can fill the order size, walk them from the best price and average what the order would cost. Bait prices more than 3% better than the median of the top 20, and merchants under 50 orders or below 90% completion, are excluded. Numbers are recomputed every 90 seconds; the methodology page has the full rules.
What is the NIP transfer limit?
There is no single figure. NIBSS keeps a maximum per transaction for each participating bank in line with CBN guidelines, so the number in your banking app is the one your bank applies. For individuals the CBN ceiling is ₦25 million per transaction: a 2022 CBN circular has banks take an indemnity for highly secured online transfers above ₦1 million up to that cap, and from 1 July 2026 customers may adjust their own limit within the ceiling, subject to multi-factor authentication and the bank's risk assessment.
What does post no debit mean?
It is an account restriction. The CBN's circular of 1 December 2023 uses the stricter form, "Post No Debit or Credit", and says an account placed under it has no further transactions permitted. That circular applied it to Tier-1 accounts and wallets holding neither a BVN nor a NIN: unfunded ones at once until the new process was satisfied, funded ones from 1 March 2024. An account in that state can neither send nor receive the naira leg of a P2P order.
How do I buy USDT on Bybit using bank transfer?
Bybit's buying guide runs like this: open P2P Trading, filter the Buy list by NGN and a bank payment method, pick an ad and enter the amount. The order page then shows the seller's bank details and a countdown. Send the exact amount from a bank account in your Bybit KYC name, keep words such as "BTC/USDT purchase" out of the reference, and tap Payment Completed. Some ads first ask for a liveness check, photo ID, bank statement or proof of payment. If the seller has not released after 10 minutes, use Need Help to appeal.
