Other payment methods
Paying with OPay on OKX and Bybit P2P
OPay is listed as a method of its own: "OPay" on OKX, often next to "bank", and "Opay" on Bybit. Neither platform moves the naira for you. Bybit's P2P has no automatic payment, so you send the money by hand from the payment app to the account the advertiser gives; OKX tells buyers to follow the seller's payment instructions in their banking or wallet app, then select Payment Completed, while the seller's crypto stays locked until the order is completed. Bybit adds that some payment methods are open only to selected users.
The OPay wallet you pay from has to carry your verified name. OKX's buyer FAQ answers "No" to paying through another person's bank account or payment method and asks for no crypto-related words, such as BTC or USDT, in the payment message; Bybit lets the advertiser cancel and refund when the names differ. If the seller's wallet cannot take the transfer, OKX says to ask in the order chat for another payment account, or cancel and choose another merchant; cancelling does not return money already sent, so a refund has to be arranged with the seller or support.
Settlement time and limits
OPay's terms call the account a mobile money wallet; its block-on-suspicion clause is quoted on the NGN page. For such wallets the CBN's 2021 mobile money framework sets daily outflow caps of ₦50,000, ₦200,000 and ₦5,000,000 for KYC levels 1, 2 and 3, and balance caps of ₦300,000 and ₦500,000 on the first two levels, with none on level 3; OPay's website refers customers to the app for current terms. The framework also makes operators show a summary with both phone numbers and a unique transaction identifier before you confirm, then issue a matching electronic receipt you can save. That fits what OKX's dispute rules accept as proof: issued from the payment account's app and not tampered with.
Two newer controls can hold up a large or late payment. The CBN's instant-payment circular, in force from 1 July 2026, binds a mobile financial services app to one device at a time, re-authenticates it when you move phones, and caps a newly activated app at ₦20,000 for its first 24 hours, on outflows for existing accounts and in both directions for new ones. OPay's own Large Transaction Shield lets you choose a per-transfer limit between ₦100,000 and ₦600,000, plus daily and monthly limits, and NightGuard asks for facial verification on every transfer inside a window you set between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
What goes wrong
- Errors and shared PINs. OPay's terms say it is not responsible where you compromise your details by disclosing them to third parties, and that you are liable for every transaction started from your wallet, even one you did not authorise or made in error.
- Debits after the fact. OPay may debit the wallet without notice to recover an undercharge, and can recover chargebacks, including ones tied to a court order against your balance, long after the transaction.
- Loss of access. OPay may end access without notice where that is expedient to curb ongoing fraud or during an ongoing financial-crime investigation, and disputes under its terms go to mediation at the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse. For a lost phone it lists *955*131# and *955*132# to lock the account or card.
- Frozen or failed transfers. OKX sends delays, failed payments and frozen accounts back to the payment provider; OPay's channels are in-app customer service, service centres and a 24/7 hotline.

Questions people ask
How much is USDT right now when paying with OPay?
Counting only ads that accept OPay, a 1,000 USDT order averaged 1,387 NGN (about 1,386,898 NGN) in the latest observation, across 15 ads. The cards above refresh every 90 seconds.
Which platform has the most sellers accepting OPay?
In the latest observation OKX P2P had the most checked OPay ads (10). Counts move all day; the sellers table above is sorted by price and names the platform.
How is the price on this page calculated?
We take the public P2P ads of Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget and HTX, keep the ones that can fill the order size, walk them from the best price and average what the order would cost. Bait prices more than 3% better than the median of the top 20, and merchants under 50 orders or below 90% completion, are excluded. Numbers are recomputed every 90 seconds; the methodology page has the full rules.
What is the OPay tier 3 limit per day?
OPay's website points customers to the app for the limits that apply to their own account. The regulatory ceiling for a mobile money wallet at KYC level 3, set in the CBN's July 2021 framework, is ₦5,000,000 of cumulative outflow per day with no balance limit; level 2 allows ₦200,000 a day and a ₦500,000 balance. What you can actually send may be lower: under the CBN's 2026 rules a freshly activated app is held to ₦20,000 for 24 hours, and any Large Transaction Shield cap you have chosen applies on top.
Why is my OPay account restricted?
OPay's terms (version 5.0) give several grounds. Besides the block for suspected fraud or money laundering quoted on our NGN page, OPay may withdraw access without notice when it judges that expedient against ongoing fraud or in an ongoing financial-crime investigation, and it may debit the wallet, or defer sums owed to you, to recover chargebacks (court orders included) or undercharges. If the restriction hits during a P2P order, OKX's FAQ sends frozen accounts and failed payments to the payment provider rather than the exchange. For queries OPay lists in-app customer service, service centres and its hotline.
Does OPay support cryptocurrency?
OPay's terms (version 5.0) describe moving money between your mobile money wallet, bank accounts and other users, QR payments and bill payments, and they contain no clause on crypto or virtual assets. In a P2P trade OPay only carries the naira: you send the transfer from your wallet, while the platform holds the USDT. OKX, for example, locks the seller's crypto until the order is completed and then credits it to your Funding Account.
