Other payment methods
Paying by bank transfer on Binance, Bybit and OKX P2P
Bank payment appears under many labels. On the ads behind the cards above, Binance shows a generic "Bank Transfer", named banks such as Meezan Bank and The United Bank, and "Raast"; OKX uses "bank", "RAAST" and bank names. This page counts every label containing "bank" or "raast".
The seller's account title must be identical to the verified name on their exchange account, and Binance and Bybit both tell buyers not to pay into a third-party account. On Raast, the State Bank of Pakistan requires the credit and debit alerts to show the counterparty's name. If your paying account's name does not match your OKX profile, OKX suspends your P2P access for 15 days, does not release the USDT and has the seller refund you, with refund costs on you.
When a seller prefers instant payment, Binance and OKX rule out other methods, such as an international transfer, unless the seller agrees first; Bybit allows non-real-time methods only with the seller's prior consent. If a seller sits on a real-time payment past 15 minutes, Binance and OKX support chase them and can release by hand; for non-instant methods the wait Binance allows is two working days, and OKX's runs from two to five working days by region.
Settlement time and limits
The USDT to PKR page notes that Raast costs individuals nothing. Under the State Bank's 2022 circular on Raast person-to-person payments, money must reach the payee's account within 20 seconds of the credit advice, a failed payment comes back with a rejection notice stating the reason, and banks may not hold the funds in between; every Raast payment is final. You can pay a Raast ID or an IBAN without registering, but you need your own Raast ID to receive on it, and each person may link one Raast ID to one account.
Since 1 April 2022 the State Bank imposes no Raast limit of its own; banks size limits by customer risk, but not below PKR 200,000 per transaction (or the cap for your account type), and your overall Raast limit cannot be lower than your IBFT limit. Banks must show your remaining limit in the app and let you raise or lower it there. Published figures can disagree: HBL's English FAQ gives a Raast cap of PKR 200,000 a day and its Urdu FAQ PKR 500,000, both subject to branchless-banking limits.
Paying by account number goes over IBFT instead. The State Bank's 2021 pricing circular keeps IBFT free for individuals up to at least Rs 25,000 of sending a month; above that a bank may charge up to Rs 200 per transfer. Incoming and same-bank transfers stay free.
What goes wrong
- Remarks. OKX's dispute rules say that if a buyer's transfer remarks mention the type of trade (P2P), an exchange such as OKX or a coin such as BTC, support asks the seller to release or refund, with refund costs on the buyer. Bybit warns that a reference such as "BTC/USDT purchase" can make the transfer fail.
- Frozen accounts. Binance's help centre describes sellers whose bank accounts were frozen after buyers scammed elsewhere went to the authorities, and tells you to contact your bank at once and give the authorities evidence and trade records. Its Shield Merchants compensate part of the order if a seller's account is frozen after receiving their payment.
- Wrong beneficiary. A Raast payment cannot be recalled, and HBL says a payment to a Raast ID the payee has deleted is rejected. The State Bank's FAQ sends Raast complaints to your own bank's helpline.

What is the Raast transfer limit per day?
There is no single national figure. From 1 April 2022 the State Bank of Pakistan stopped setting Raast limits itself; each bank sets them according to the customer's risk profile, with a floor of PKR 200,000 per transaction or the limit attached to your account type, and a total Raast allowance no lower than your IBFT allowance. The bank has to display what is left of your limit in its app, where you can also change it. Bank pages can disagree: HBL quotes PKR 200,000 a day in English and PKR 500,000 in Urdu, with branchless-banking limits on top.
How long does a Binance P2P bank transfer take?
It depends on the rail. Under the State Bank's Raast rules, a Raast payment has to land in the payee's account within 20 seconds of the credit advice, or come back rejected with a reason. On Binance, a seller has 15 minutes to release the USDT after confirming the full payment; if you paid by a real-time method and the seller does not release in time, Binance support contacts the seller and can release manually. For a non-instant method, support asks the seller to release within two working days.
What should I do if my bank account is frozen after Binance P2P?
Binance's help page on this tells a seller to contact the bank immediately, cooperate with the local authorities by handing over evidence and the transaction records with the buyer, and take legal advice if needed; if the buyer cannot be reached, contact Binance customer service with screenshots of the order. Its listed precautions include asking the buyer for extra identity documents, keeping a separate bank account for P2P and trading less often. Binance Shield Merchants pay a seller part of the order amount when the seller's account is frozen after receiving a payment from them.
